This reminded me of all the strange airplanes that were flying around Long Island when I was a kid. Grumman plant was at Bethpage,and there was a large Air
Force base out in Westhampton. The Vietnam war was going full blast at the time. These new aircraft {and i assume classified }were flown a lot at night.You
could make out the image ,that was about it.But the noise!! Rusky intell trawlers were just off the coast {ten miles},lots of em. Was a wonder that there was
not a major plane crash,with Kennedy,Mac Arthur,and Laguardia near by.
