Hi Sportsfans,
I am back again. I was on here last year hunting up a non firing replica of a Colt Walker and that went nowhere - there are none available other than second hand, if you can find one. Now I have another question that I will come to.
So I bit the bullet (if you will excuse the pun) and decided to take on the Australian gun licensing laws and go for real time.
It has taken this long so far and there is a still a long way to go but I have joined the local pistol club (who welcomed me with open arms as they only have one other BP member so at last they can have a competition - all two of us!!!) and my Uberti Walker is on order but will take months to arrive (there are no fireable ones in the country either)!
There is still an unbelievable amount of paperwork crud and requirements to go through but it is becoming apparent that once you are in then it is not so bad - it is a case of getting in to start with. So I think I have gone barking mad!
For a few years I have unsuccessfully attempted to retire from the aviation area I am in. Now I have made a management decision and am going to sell a couple of aircraft - so I will have some spare dollars to scratch itches with.
I am only allowed to have one gun for a year but then the limit is off, so I am going to buy about 20 Uberti BP replicas of early American revolvers in one hit and have something of a collection to enjoy and actually shoot.
I want to extend that from just the revolvers to the revolving carbines as well. I can get a Remington replica but here is my question:
Is there available a fireable replica of one of the Colt revolving carbines available to
purchase new. If so where please?
To forestall kind advice I know you keep your forehand behind the cylinder as well
Nice to be back - I was touched by the friendliness and courtesy afforded to me on these forums. So I hope someone can
help.
Aye
Tony
