I received a pm from someone offering to buy it at my price if that included shipping to CA. I didn't reply right away since I had someone else showing interest. With Spring Break and checking on what the laws were about shippping to CA, I replied 4-5 days later accepting his offer. That was last week and I haven't heard from him. I have PM ed and tried all other ways to contact him through GB. I am trying not to get ticked off but it seems at least I should hear from him one way or another. The only reason I hesitate is because the person shows as a long term member of the forum. (Joined in the 60s according to his profile.) I'm pretty much a newbie on GB. What is appropriate? Should I post publicly asking if anyone has heard from this user? His stats show that he/she logs in daily. Or should I just accept that I've been blown off? Don

Posts: 11884 (03/30/09 08:08 AM) Forum Site Moderator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Don, There's a "flow chart" that shows what can & can't go to CA based on characteristics of the rifle. http://www.calguns.net/caawid/flowchart.pdf That should help clear the mud as to whether or not the M1 can be "imported" into that state. Send them a PM through the gunboards messenger and e-mail, click on their profile to get that information. Also, there are a lot of "tire kickers" over there in the WTS forum. I'm not saying the person you're referring to is one of them, but some do tend to just kick tires, look, ask stupid questions and then leave you hanging in regard to a sale. I've never had a regular member over there do me that way, but the low post count folks that never contribute to the forums content sure have.

Easier not to sell there at all . hope this helps.

Posts: 2396 (03/30/09 07:51 PM) Host Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	gunboards was started in the 90's if i rember,i have been a membet there for around 8 years or so.i have sold alot there with no problems yet but they get a lot of new people. they have a post count there also and alot of the older members will have a higher post count most of the time. you can allways relist it and state the other buyer did not go through with it.

Don, did the chart I posted the link to help any? It cleared up a lot of misinformation for me, in addition to Tom's/ trauert's help when I sent a MAS 49 to CA a few months ago.

I had one CA FFL insisting that I include an approval from the CA DOJ to ship a Remington 511 to him. Even after I included my E-mail from CA DOJ stating that it didn't apply to a C&R FFL, my buyer had to find another FFL.
