Thrashed the water for approximately 4 hours, a few nibbles, no solid bites on live bait, Senkos, Tubes, Lizards, Pig & Jig, nothing was tempting to the bass today. 300 boats flying up & down the main channel and every pocket of water in the lake we went to. Pollen, pollen, pollen....the top of the lake was covered in green scum, when we got out of the water, the truck was covered in a light green coating of pollen and the average temp was 90f. Now it's time to mow the fields.....Yeeehawwwwww!!

Even the ones in my pond are still pretty sluggish while the sunfish are in the hit anything that moves mode. The small mouth action in the creek has really picked up with those few 90 degree days. Nothing to write home about in size, but action is consistant using various spoons. I need to take a float trip to see if there is anything better up or down stream from the farm (yeah I've been lazy and only fishing my frontage on Back Creek).

The water was holding at 66-68f. Even the almanac said last weekend was a prime fishing weekend.... Oh well. My boys have been hitting the creek below the house regularly over the past few weeks and doing some catch & release on some small fish. They're getting hungry for a good hookset on a 5-6 pounder. My dad has been tinkering with a johnboat over the winter and it's ready to drop in the river, we may do a short float down the Big Sandy soon.
