I have come to this website and this forum particularly to get
info on Enfields from you Wise and Knowledgable Gentlemen!
But as the old saying goes: Give man a fish..... Anyway the point is, what are the best references to get both an overall look at Enfields in general, and more specific data on #1MkIII's #4Mk1's, .410 Conversions, and 2A's, etc...? Included in this would be all manufacturers. Lithgow, Savage, Long Branch, Ishapore, The various Brit's, as well as even Khyber pass guns. Even those I have not listed, b/c I do not know them. After all I am trying to learn.
Short and sweet: I need suggestions for a comprehensive Enfield library. What should I get?

P.S. I started this C&R odyssey with the goal to get one rifle from every major WWII combatant. I have left that path. I find Russian mosin's appaling in their design. The German K98kar's are interesting in the details but they lack something compared to Enfields and are more expensive. I do not have much interest in Italian or Japanese guns. American guns are cool too, but very expensive! So I find myself becoming more and more of an Enfield collector. I guess I am well and truly hooked!!!
