This is actually on a RC mod 98 but the fellows on the Mauser forum say its "just some Russian mark." If so, then I reckon here's where would
know it. Can anybody ID it?

Upside down, rightside up I have seen a bunch of marks somewhat similar but I have no idea whether that is soviet or not. Sorry as there are so many little
marks like that I have sort of eliminated looking too closely at them figuring they are inspectors marks of some kind. Bill

I have that same mark on my RC Kar98k, also have it on 2 of my 91/30's. If I have time later today I will try to get some pics up to confirm.
