I really would rather speak to a live person whenever possible. Finally I got through to someone. Not sure if they were alive or not. Person spoke in a monotone voice and acted as though they wished they were anywhere but on the phone taking my order. Well I needed the parts so I did business with them. Not sure if I will give them any more of my business or not. And I'm pretty sure they could care less. Anyone else dealt with these folks?

I do agree that the guy who takes the phone orders is rather emotionless and is not a "people person"..

I feel that a verbal order is easier to mess up than a customer-written order. In addition, by putting it in writing I am not managing their time, they are. On this basis I have dealt with Springfield Sporters on several occasions and have always been delighted with both what I received and the prices that they charged. Once I emailed about whether or not they had any Wz-29 stock components, since I had just acquired a barrelled-action w/bolt ... none were listed, but I knew that they had a lot of unlisted stuff in inventory. I was patient and they eventually replied that a stock & handguard would cost $45(?) which I considered to be a GREAT price for a stripped stock & HG. What they sent me was a complete stock & HG with all of the metal bits! WHOA!

That said, if you actually get to know him he is a good guy. And he knows more about gun parts than just about anyone else out there. Prices are reasonable and quality is always above advertised. I am certain that you will not be disappointed in what you receive.

If they say NOS they mean new parts. I did not now the guy's name before now but I will have to agree he is a bit mono-tone at times but he is very helpfull if you have any questions. Heck, he was helping me troubleshoot a problem with my Ljungman trigger group and we spoke on the phone for some time. Some people just have more on their plate then they can handle and it comes through in their voice, I know I am one of them. People think all the time that I am mad at them when I am really made about the situation and not them. Smokepole
