Chilean Modelo 1912 long rifle 7.62 conversion |
Lead | |
|
I'm watching a long Modelo 1912 that is described as being in 7.62 x 51. I've read that the short Modelo 1912 7.62 conversions were done with 03A3
barrels. Anyone know how the large ring, long Chilean mausers were converted? That certainly isn't an 03A3 barrel.
Thanks. |

From what I have read, the barrels were bored out and a chamber insert was silver soldered in.
