Mosin 91/30 stock heel repair |

Hey to all, I have several mosins and I just acquired on who need the heel replaced on the stock. It is missing all together, Has anyone out there done such a
repair? Or is it better to get another correct year stock, It is a 90/31 1928 Tula. anyone out there want to sell one? let me know. Thanks for your help.

Several folks here have done this repair and made quite a nice job of it. Do some searches in this and the repair forum to see what has gone before; you'll
be inspired to do great things!

That seems to be a common problem with the stocks on some of these rifles. One guy just finished a similiar fix and it should be in this forum a bit if you
look thru the postings here in the last two weeks. I have also seen it on rifles bought from the big distributors where a new toe was spliced to the existing
stock and the only way you can tell is that the grain of the two woods used does not quite match up. So I think it might have been a common stock problem even
when the rifles were in service.
