You can get 7.62x54R Bulgarian Light Ball FMJ ammo, steel case, 440 rd tins for $84.92 off of jgsales.com. I bought a tin of it but I havent shot it yet. I
opened it and its in good packaging and looks to be pretty good.

SuperMosin- do you have any idea of when this Bulgarian ammunition was loaded?
The reason I ask, is back about a dozen years ago when the Mosin-Nagant rifles started showing up on the market, they were cheap, but no ammo was available for them. I bought two of the rifles just because I thought they were neat, but I had to wait a whole year before any milsurp ammo started showing up for them. And that first milsurp ammo available around here was Bulgarian and it shot very good. However, it was brass cased, not steel cased. Sadly, I don't recall the date of it either. Curt |

I bought a case a few weeks ago. I received russian light ball year 1976 made at factory 60.
Clean ammo and it looks new. It shot EXTREMELY WELL from my finn m91/30,with a tikka 1944
barrel.
I plan on buying another case as soon as I find out if I have a job to pay for it.
The czech is also good shooting ammo.

SuperMosin- do you have any idea of when this Bulgarian ammunition was loaded?Sorry no, I couldn't find any info on when it was loaded. It says that it's steel cased on the website but it looks like brass. Its steel core as well. |

Just be aware that there is some steel cased, but brass coated milsurp ammo floating around. Best to check the cases with a magnet if you have any doubts.
