This entry thread for June's contest will remain open for entries until 6pm Central on Saturday, 27 June. There's no specific theme this month, but in honor of 6 June 1944 I've decided to use my Rock Island Arsenal M1903 for my unofficial entry: Let see what everyone else has! Posts: 334 (06/07/09 09:37 PM) active member More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Well, I am afraid I will have to break with the trend here and offer up a correct 1945 Springfield Armory M1 Garand rifle with accompanying 1945-dated front seam, fixed bale M1 helmet, 1945-dated 10-pocket ammunition pouch and an enbloc clip of .30 M2 Ball. Also pictured is an 8th Infantry Division patch (The Golden Arrow Division & The Pathfinders). The 8th ID landed on Utah Beach July 4^th 1944 and fought their way through Normandy, Brest, Huertgen Forest, Battle of the Bulge, Operation Grenade, and the Ruhr Pocket. Collectively they were credited with four campaigns and logged 266 days of combat. Tim

If not, then it's not a photo we can use - unless you have rights to the photo for some other reason. It's probably not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but we don't want to do anything that could cause any legal grief for Bill or the site.
