Some goober was in Gander Mt. while I was buying a Nagant revolver, and asked for "380's" I just started laughing at him
No, not really, but I was laughing inside thinking "has this guy been
living under a rock?"
It's unfortunate, but I almost expect now to not be able to walk into any gun store expecting to be able to buy formerly common calibers. My prediction is the bottom will fall out of the market and there will be distributors holding 10's of thousands of rounds of ammo.........but the prices will go nowhere, because like gasoline, once the manufacturers, distributors and stores realize we are willing to pay $25 for a box of Winchester white box 9mm or Sellier & Bellot .38 Special they won't lower the price because they know people will still buy it up. I NEVER would have thought I'd be paying $20+ a box to shoot .38 Special, never. I've always really been a revolver enthusiast and .38 Special was my "go to" round, it still is but it hits my pocket twice as hard to shoot some of my favorite old .38's. |
