RIP
Life is the crummiest book I ever read, there isn't a hook; Just a lot of cheap shots, pictures to shock, and characters an amateur would never dream up... |

I always admired him for what he was. He wore the uniform and served his country in combat against enemy forces. To anybody who has done that, I raise my right
hand in a salute to them. I wore two uniforms, the Navy and Army. When I was in the Navy back in 1969 I wanted to go to Viet Nam in the worse way. I even
volunteered for PBR duty in the Mekong Delta, which was a very dangerous thing at the time. But the Navy kept pulling the crap about me being the sole son of a
wartime vet and would not let me go into a combat zone, so instead I spent my naval career as a sandcrab here in the states.
Yes, he had political leanings that were opposed to some of us, including me, but he earned the right to say what he believed in. It is those people who never wore a uniform that don't hold much faith in me when it comes to political issues. Just remember that the fighting soldiers of this country have given and kept the right for citizens to remain free and to speak their opinions when they desire. It is because of these warriors we have a place we can call home and be proud of it. Curt |

m1 talker has nailed it, and is only calling the spade for what it is. Chulai 68 likely only seemed a Liberal to some of us, because of Conservative failures
that significantly impacted his life! We all live our own specific experiences, and they make us who we are to a great extent. He wore the uniform during a
decidedly tough time, so it was our honor to have him tell us how he saw it all!!!
I will miss his posts, even (maybe especially) the ones I didn't entirely agree with. RIP to yet another unsung hero! |

Today, July 2nd, would have been his 62nd birthday. RIP Chu Lai 68, and God bless his family.
Good Shooting and God Bless!!
