So, was my barrel counterbored, or did it once have a bulge that was repaired, then counterbored? The triangular stamps around the circumfrence of the barrel, is that signifying how deep it was counterbored if it was, or or those the tool marks from whatever was used to squeeze the bulge out of the barrel, if that's what it was. Anyone encountered this? Thoughts? Opinions?
