I'm in Indiana. Sent in for an application 3 weeks ago. Then, thought maybe I ought to get a duplicate so sent for another one about a week later.
Anyone from Indiana have an idea how long or should I just wait it out a bit longer before I try for another application?
Thanks from a an impatient newbie. (Yeah, I know "Are we there yet?")

It's the .gov, you'll get your stuff when they are good and ready for you to have it!
It runs from a few weeks to several months. I'd check in with them in another few weeks if you don't have it by then just to see what is going on.

welcome to the board here in Tennessee, a friend 'requested' the C&R forms back in March as I recall, it took just over a month to get 'em his 03 license was processed in 3 weeks, and his check was cashed even faster

On another board, posters are reporting that BATFE has been telling those who call to complain that their vendor for the forms is having problems with the
process.

One of the honchos on calguns.net scanned the official BATFE C&R Application into a PDF. Guys were printing it out and sending that app in, since they were
waiting months for the government vendor to mail them out. A few of them were actually approved, then the govt. started sending back applications that were
marked 'approved', but you have to complete THE ENCLOSED OFFICIAL GREEN APPLICATION and send it in.
Go figger. At least it gets you the real application. Tom

Thanks for the info. I checked out calguns.net and the latest update states that the ATF has now stopped accepting anything except THEIR form. http://www.atf.gov/press/2009press/052909atf_unauthorized-application-forms.htm Still, I printed it out so that I had a practice copy. Sheesh, some of those boxes are tiny for the info they want printed! 
I may go ahead and request more forms in a week or so to make sure I get something. |

In that same thread or one nearby, guys were getting their forms by calling the local BATFE office and asking for them locally.

I may try that also. Seems crazy that it is so hard to get a simple form, and times are all over the map. Likewise to time to get the license.
