Came with a Bayonet, Magazine Pouch, Cleaning Kit, Sling. I have a question or possible fit problem with the bayonet. Questions below Pics. (This pic does not show the other cleaning kit items) Below is a pic of the Bayonet ...and a close up of the markings. Close up of cleaning rod in stock under barrel. The cleaning rod measures a total of 2 3/4 inches from end of bayonet lug. The bayonet will NOT fit over the cleaning rod and attach. IT attaches perfectly without the cleaning rod. Is this correct or: - do I have the wrong bayonet for this rifle? - Do I have the wrong cleaning rod for this rifle? - Or was it normal to remove the cleaning rod to attach the bayonet? Also the cleaning lug/guide does not fit around the front sight collar. I am starting to think these accessories are not for my rifle.

Posts: 12170 (07/05/09 07:48 AM) Forum Site Moderator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	The muzzle cap should be spring loaded and you'll have to push down on it and twist it around the rear of the sight base. The bayonet is "universal" for the upgraded/updated 48's, 48A's, 24/47's, and other variations of the Yugo Mausers. There may be gunk/junk (dried cosmo, wood chunks, etc) up in the bayonet rod hole that needs to be cleaned out in order for the bayonet to seat on the lug properly. It was made to be used with the rod in place. Also, silly as it sounds, make sure your cleaning rod is screwed into the rifle as far as it'll go. Just don't overtighten and possibly break the threads off the end of the rod in the stock. That's a nice looking sling coiled up there in the picture. It looks like one that will work on a Yugo SKS.
