I'm new on this area of this sight. So I thought I'd post a Smith Corona that I saved from Bubba. The original pistol grip stock was cut off and
filled all around the pistol grip for who knows why. The original rear sight had a "V" filed in it, and it had an 03 triger guard and a remington
milled butt plate. I scoped it out of a local auction for short money. It said in the discription that the bore was worn with some pitting. Wrong. A little
dirty and it's a 6 grove. It aslo said the barrel date was "48". It's "43". I got the stock from a board member here. It was found
in a attick in Arizona. It was dry, but not one of those cosmo black greasy pigs. I came with a remington stamped but plate. All I realy needed was a upper
band. I came up with a Remington one for reasonable money. I had the other bands and swivels, but there Remington. Man, can you believe what 03 and 03-A3 parts
are going for these days? It's just nuts! Anyways after a little cleaning on the stock (no sanding) and about coats 5 of Behr tong oil, here she is. Not
minty, but saved from bubba drilling and taping it to put a scope on it. I did have a rare SC winter triger guard and a corect SC butt plate in the parts
stash saved for a rainy day. And yes the stock turned out to be a correct Smith Corona stock.
