Did the Argentines (or anyone else) ever have a semi auto chambered for 7.65 x 53 Mauser? I know there are 7mm semis like the FN 49 made for south american countries.

I believe the Argentines did have some FN49s, but I think they were chambered for 7.62X51. I think AIM was selling them a few years back.

The original FN49 contract for Argentina was in 7.65 x 53. However, in later years the majority of these FN49s went through a re-work and were converted to 308
cal. for the Argentine Navy. It is very rare to find a FN49 in 7.65 x 53 these days because the majority of them were converted.
