I received my 1891 Argentine long rifle today. It is Loewe made, serial#N9xxx. Can anyone tell me what year this was manufatured? Being a Loewe, I know
it's still pre-1899, but I'd like to know the exact year if possible.
Thanks for any help. BTW, the rifle is very nice  .

The N series rifles were reportedly produced in 1896, the last year of Loewe production. It is thought that some of the early DWM production in 1898 were made
using Loewe marked receivers left over from prior stock. But those production numbers started in the mid O series so post-date your rifles production!

I had the whole thing apart for inspection, the craftsmanship is incredible. Even under the receiver, where you can't see it, is machined very nicely. The
bolt is so slick, and lock up is tight. Yes sir, I think I'm gonna love it. I'll hold back complete praise until I see how she does on paper
 . I'm curious what kind of groups this will do compared to my B barrel M39.
