1891 Argentine bolt question
A friend of mine at work brought in an old military rifle he had been given for me to identify. It is an Argentine 1891 that has been sporterized some. The old rifle appears to be in good shape, but I have a question about the bolt. When you open the bolt, the end of the firing pin is extended past the bolt face, if you dry fire the rifle, cock it and open the bolt again, it still extends past the bolt face. Is this normal? Or is there something wrong with the firing pin. I don't want to let him fire the rifle if there is a problem. Thanks in advance for any and all answers.
