which is chambered in the 6.5 x52mm Carcano. There are three types of theese rifles:
the Calvary carbine, the Troupe Speciale' and the Fucile Corto. The Fucile Corto
can be indentified by the grooves in the front of the handgaurd, the trap door on the buttplate & it's 40 inches long. Theese were made at four arsenals. Brescia, Beretta, Gardone and Terni. They were made at Terni for two years 1940 and 1941. The one I have is a "D" block and letter away from the nefarious "C" block. Mine looks like a Post war
refurb. The blue is excellent on the rilfe, the stock is in decent shape, it bears the Terni Cartouche on the stock meaning it was probably refurbished. The barrel had cosmoline in it. The odds of getting a rifle like this is 100 to 1.
