Fellas here is a run down of my expectations of every member that wishes to post here. My rules are very fair and easy to follow and if everyone abides by them we can have a good time and avoid trouble. First off I expect everyone to act as a gentleman to each member here. Rude behavior will not be allowed nor tolerated. Do not yell at the computer, i.e. arguments should be conducted in a civil mannor. So if everyone remembers their mannors and behaves we will all have a good time.

Well Howdy Gang;
I did read the rules and agree,not that you need me to ,i just do.when you say don't yell at the computer does that mean this,"ALRIGHT ALREADY" or the fact of. Now down to the good stuff,i have a SMLE#1MkIII,very clean,still has(cosmoline) on a lot of the hidden parts. wood great, Crown,GR,1917,SHTL.E III,looks like a asterisk with one mark through it ___. the butt plate is brass and has been retro fitted to weapon,not the original. the the little mediallon is gone and a wood plug has been inserted.. up by the bolt is some markings. No.1 MKIII 303 B.UK AL ST ALBVT. the B's might be eights. it's been in the family forever it seems,i just dug it out of the barn and cleaned it up a little,did'nt need much it was wrapped up and as i said still had cosmoline on it. it has British marks all over it. we have shot it before but a long time ago. the reason i am telling you this is i am excited about this rifle and want to find out more. it has HV SC under the sight,does this mean i can hunt wild boars with it? I live in the desert of southwest texas. Jimmy2060 |
