Posts: 3 Dec 29 10 9:52 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None Hello everyone, first timer here with a question or 2.This past monday i picked up a H&R model 150 leatherneck-it has ramped front sights&dovetail cut for rear sight filled with lyman blank. Barrel is 22 inches long. The receiver is marked MOD 65 H&R Reising 22 CAL Serial # R255 is on left & to the rear of receiver. It has redfield 70-ap rear sight.The stock has sling swivels attached & has large takedown screw in front of long mag-well & has 5 round mag. I guess what i'm asking is did H&R mark all the receivers mod65 & put on whatever barrel they needed at the time or maybe this rifle was re-barreled? Hope someone can shed some light on this! BTW i love this rifle-just want to know what i have.

Posts: 77 Dec 30 10 1:00 PM active member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The H&R 65 was a WW11 Trainer production for the USMC. However H&R did sell the Model 65 during the war to civilians at the same time selling them to the USMC. After WW11 H&R produced the Model 65 for awhile then changed a few items on the rifle probaly to lower the cost and produced the Model 150. I would say your rifle is probaly a transistion rifle with a leftover Model 65 action and the new Model 150 barrel. But then your rifle could have been rebarreled later but why?

Posts: 602 Mar 15 11 8:53 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	There were a few more Reisings than mentioned above. The 165 Leatherneck made just after WWII in 1946. The 150's were made late 1940 to early 1950's There a few made in the 1960' as well. I can't remember the model numbers off hand. The was also a pistol made in the 1920's. Here is my M65: M150:

Posts: 1 Jun 18 12 9:09 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hi. Glad to find this forum! I have a 65 (and a 50). 65 came from an auction, and someone robbed the rear sight. Was just at a gunshow in Centralia on Saturday, and guess what walked in? A 65. This one had the sight. So, I need a Redfield 70-AP?. Long ago, before oBey banned gun parts (now they have reversed themselves- hallelujah!), I got a good deal on four 65 mags, so I have five. It's a quality, esoteric .22, and I look forward to playing with it once I get a sight. Thanks. Chris.

I shot this rifle the other day at 50yds off sand bags and was getting nickel sized groups with CCI-SD. It has a heavy trigger like you would expect but it did not seem to affect group size.

The apeture is a Merrit adjustable like a old camera shutter,fits on Lyman sights as well. You said you have its twin. Do you mean it's a 65 receiver with a 150 barrel?

Posts: 602 Aug 29 12 5:57 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	With the Redfield rear sight, it would be a model 151. Yours may be a parts gun. I have not seen a 151, so not sure if they are marked 151 or 150. The 150 hase a barrel mounted sight like the one in my pics in my post above.
