Posts: 239 Jun 7 11 12:13 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None I put in for a renewal on my C&R FFL end of Feb it expired 4/1. As of the End of April I called to see what the deal was the lady on the phone gave me no explaination, asked for my email address, and emailed me a Letter of Authorization to continue to use my current C&R FFL for another 6 months. Here we are in June still no FFL. What gives? Any of you guys experiencing slow renewals?

Posts: 5717 Jun 7 11 10:00 PM Forum Site Moderator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The whole ATF is probably down on the Arizona border trying to find those 1300+ rifles they "let" walk across the border. Seriously, they seem to just do this kind of thing in cycles, where they get behind, then get really efficient, then get behind again. Also depends on what state you are from, as some states are handled by actual human beings and others by more typical ATF Bureaucrats. As long as you got the letter you can continue to operate as if nothing had changed, although I've heard some dealers don't like to accept the expired license even with the letter. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. When I first applied it took forever, until I called them, then it came in a little over a week.

Posts: 5 Aug 1 11 12:08 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I am currently in the same boat. Sent in the renewal forms and payment in early April for a mid May renewal date. Received the letter of authorization to continue with my C&R license. It is the end of July and still no new license. I think I need to call as well. Previous renewals usually took about 6 weeks.
