It was disassembled sometime in the 50's and no one remembered how to put it back together. So, the loose parts were stuck in an old sock, the pistol in the holster and the whole shebang stuck in a drawer for the past 60 years.....Several months ago after my brother-in-law's wake we were sitting around BS'ing and the topic of guns came up. She mentioned she had this old gun and wondered how to dispose of it (yikes). I offered to buy it, sight unseen, not knowing even what make or caliber. Anyway, I now have it and its beautiful. The pertinent facts: CZ24, Serial 14571 (which makes it an early one, I think) frame, slide & barrel match Date of Manufacture 1925, Accepted by Czech Army 1926 Cal - .380 Additional markings on right frame : 4 V 82 Additional Parts: Nazi era slide with Nazi stamped barrel (32 cal.) rod & spring Misc parts Brown Leather holster - nazi stamp inside flap, letters & numbers partially legible - Line 1 RBN??? Line 2 - 0/12727???? Questions 1. What are the added markings on right frame? 2. The gun doesn't load bullets (380 FMJ) in the chamber correctly. They hang up at an angle. Also, the slide doesn't seem to fully close. It seems like the top of the magazine interferes with the slide action? It does eject well, though. 3. Seems 4V 82 translates: V is "Vozatajsky prapor" Horse drawn supply or logistics, later mechanized ("Train" in German) So, its the 4 Train Battalion, pistol nr 82 2. Needs new springs Holster by A.Jelinek&Sohn, GroB-Meseritch

Posts: 232 Jul 1 11 8:33 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The gun doesn't load bullets (380 FMJ) It won't load .380 rounds, because the gun is a .32. Not interchangable. Springs may be just fine with the correct round.
