Its on the end of a flag staff that came from Camp Robinson ark back in the 1970"s It appears to be a style from the 1800's, but that's just a guess on my part, i need an expert. Frankly, it doesn't really look like an "American" style flag staff topper though believe me, I am NO expert! I think you would actually get a better response on an antique collector's site for this one. Posts: 1228 Dec 4 11 11:33 AM Veteran member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hi "nug, you're probably right, we may never know where this came from originally, maybe its a Mexican eagle, captured in the war with Mexico, Arkansas troops were in that one. (i dont think its that old) but it sure does look like federal eagles from the early to mid 1800's, its been around for sure. I carried it to many rifle matches for the State back in the '70's, then i carried it to Saudi-Iraq-Kuwait in '91, then home again. Its on the front porch now, flying a Confederate flag in honor of the War of Northern Agression, and all my ancestors who fought for the CSA. Thanks for looking, DM
