However, the uniforms and costuming are excellent, the gun handling "for real," and the "good guy" always wins, sort of. Richard Sharpe (Sean Bean) does more and gets less than any soldier in any army in all the world.
It is a little tough to see small squads representing company's, small platoon's representing regiments, and small company's representing the division sized elements that fought in the Napoleonic wars, but I imagine a director can only employ so many people for a television show.
Excellent series in my opinion.
