Argentine 1891 value?
Met a guy today that had a few guns he was trying to sell. He didn't have much of an idea about a price. He did do some internet searching, and had some numbers written down.
The one I'm most interested in is an Argentine 1891 Mauser. It has the crest and possibly cartouche in the stock removed. It looks to be in VG to Excellent condition. Bluing all there, clean, no rust outside, and very few small stock dings. Where the crest was ground it has a pretty good blued finish, and a small ground out divot in the stock. I looked at the bore with a light. Rifling is strong, but the bore looks dirty. Hard to tell if it has any rust, or just small "dust bunnys".
What would be a good price on this rifle?
