I searched for a forum on VZ24's and this site popped up. I now have two VZ24's and as I began researching the history and information on Mausers I'm starting to get the Mauser bug. I bought my first Mauser nearly a year ago when I stumbled across a site selling VZ24's. I was at the Denver Gun Show in early December and saw a VZ and picked it up. The one thing I noticed right away were two strange looking scope type mounting blocks machined into the receiver. Turns out it was a VZ accepted back in 1938. Of course no scope rings or scope. My grown children bought it for me for Christmas and since I've been searching and reading everything on Mausers. My 1940 VZ was bought from AIM and the VZ Sniper was imported by Inter Ordinance some time back. Thanks everyone.
