71 Mauser question
Just picked up a 71 Mauser, made in Belgium. That's the basis of my question - I think based on the stamp it was made in Liege, but there are no German stamps on it - it even says "B Mod 71" instead of the normal "IG Mod 71." I assume that was used for Belgian-contracted rifles? Can anyone shed any light on the other markings? On the 2nd photo, is the sight missing an inner part that should extend up/down for long-range? Thanks!
on bolton hexaform at base of receiver - looks like proof/acceptance marks? looks like a star over D?
