In his post he mentioned the rarity of the 88/14 and described the differences. As I was mucking around with milsurps tonight I took a look at mine and believe one of them is an 88/14. I never considered it "rare". It is the bottom one in this quick pic I took tonight, an Amberg 1893. If you let me know what to look for/focus on, I can provide more detail and pics.

Posts: 2 Apr 1 12 1:11 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Since it was out to take the pic yesterday, I decided to strip it to take a closer look. In addition to the differeing method of attching stripper clip guides from the 88/05, the method of modifying the triggerguard to accept stripper clips is also different (88/05 top, 88/14 bottom in pic) Any info appreciated. Would it be possible to get more information about this rifle? Where made, date, matching, etc.? And photographs, of course.
