I went to Bovington once decades ago and the "museum" was in just a large industrial-type warehouse -- very little light, little heat. All the tanks were crammed in together with with very little space in between. Forget about displays with proper didactics. I remember walking around seeing a lot of dusty stuff and suddenly, wow, a Jagdtiger! ...surprisingly for a"super tank", it didn't look that big...!

That's about all I can contribute since the only armor museum I've seen is the Patton museum at Ft. Knox and that was almost (ye GADS!) 40 years ago. Well, I was a soldier once, and oh so young. What I remember is that the pieces were well organized on concrete pads out doors in a pasrk like setting. But, some of the items though painted nice left some things to be desired. Parts missing, in one instance, I think it was the jagdPanther, had one or both tracks missing. Also there was very little if any info about the vehicles. I have no doubt there have been changes since then, what kind, how many, and for better or worse I cannot say. Anyway, once again, welcome to our forum.
