FYI about EBR mags |

I found out something today that I thought I would pass along to the members here. I received a few 5.45x39 AR-15 mags from AIM Surplus today. Aim had sold them as ASC mags which stands for (Ammo Storage Component), however when they arrived they had AR Stoner floor plates on them and ASC no-tilt followers. So thinking I got the ole bait and switch I decided to call AIM and ASC. It turns out that ASC makes a lot of different mag for a lot of different people and my mags should have gone to another vendor but due to a shipping mistake wound up at AIM instead. So, just in case your reading the web for reviews as I have and seeing reports of ASC mags being good mags and AR Stoner being junk, well, now you know the rest of the story....there all the same. Even my beloved Grendel mags are made by ASC.
