Hello to you all, I`m glad to be here & hope to learn more about c&r guns! I collect old guns and hunt in my free time.

Nice thing about the web. We're all neighbors here. My extremely limited Croat is courtesy of my paternal Grandpa, native to Guci, Croatia, and American from 1911 via Ellis Island NY. You will find others here too. Visit our Yugoslav Mauser forum. Our stickies contain tidbits of info not published anywhere else, at least in the English speaking world. On that note, Your grammar's fine. I don't really see anything amiss. There's many born and bred in the USA can do no better and some not as well, American "education" being what it is. Many among us probably learned much of their English from the TV too!

Back too the Yugoslav forum, the Serb Author Branko Bogdanovic, the author of Srpski Mauzer and it's English companion "Serbian & Yugoslav Mauser Rifles" is a regular contributor to our forum though often through me. His book is the foremost reference on the subject currently available. If you can find a local version, it has more info than our English edition. But, they are few and far apart!

Of course, I realize you may not even be interested in Mausers or those particular ones and we have plenty of expertise around to help and share with whatever your interests.

dobar dan to you to! Thanks for the welcome speech! I saw the yugo mauser forum,nice topics there..I have a few yugo mausers too, M48,m48a & M70- that`s the marking for the yugo mauser type hunting rifle but also for the yugo produced ak`s & for the pistols in .32&380 cal. I heard of mr. Bogdanović but finding his book in Croatia is kind of a mission impossible..

I've tried to find the Serb version too and no luck either. You could get the English version off Amazon but, I imagine the shipping might be prohibitive.
