I noticed a listing for the above rifle and it showed photos of a long brass tube with a shorter tube that inserts into the muzzle of an 1896/11 with a .22 rimfire chamber. It supposedly works by pulling back the cocking ring and firing a single shot. Then, you remove the muzzle piece and reload.
I didn't see any info on this on Swissrifles.com nor anywhere else I could find searching on the net. How common are/were these? I know these have been made for Enfields and K98s but can't find anything on Schmidt-Rubins.
Any information on it would be appreciated.
