Heirloom Enfield in need of guidance and understanding
Hello there I have my fathers first gun that was bought for him as a boy from sears in Southern California in the summer of if story's are fact 1959 he was 11 at the time the rifle I believe to be a savage no.4 mk1*(simplified) sporterized .303 British lee Enfield with a five round Santa Fe magazine the markings are limited But the serial is OC41959 can anyone tell me what this means where's it from the basics this rifle hasn't been moved in 40 yrs I just learned that I may be getting it passed down to me as a project I have plans but need more intel before I mess up history by my limited knowledge on Enfield I have some pictures
