ERMA ET22 (EP22) WON'T FIRE SECOND ROUND
This forum seems to be a possible fit for my topic. I've been working on my Erma ET22. The linkage in the action seems to be identical to that in the Erma EP22. I'm making progress. It now have it to where it will fire one round then chamber a second, but the the striker doesn't stay in the cocked position, so it doesn't fire the newly chambered round. If I cock it manually, ejecting the second round (unfired) and chamber a third round it fires OK and chambers a fourth round, but again won't fire, etc., etc., etc. Obviously the sear isn't engaging the sear release or the sear release isn't engaging the striker part of the firing pin (part # 35 in Numrich, Gunparts, diagram) of the EP22. That's the WHAT of it, but the WHY and HOW to fix it is eluding me. Any experienced Erma buffs here. Thanks.
