It's been a busy beginning of a new year for me and the end of a long work career. I'm retiring after 33 years at the same company and a 42 year in Lithography, offset printing.
My boss shared some interesting facts with me about my career here at Lockheed, I have worked 12,015 days or 395 months? But it's time to move on to retirement and spending time doing the things that I've not always had the time to get too. My gun collection, cowboy shooting, fishing and yard work, so I should be busy for a time.
Picked up some interesting guns since the beginning of the year, this weekend I found a Smith & Wesson DA 45 from the 1937 contract. It has been engraved with U.S Marine Corps and an officers name on the side plate. Also picked up a Yugo TTC Tokarev M57, and the Ruger Blackhawk cambered in 30 Cal M1 finally came in after a year's wait.
I finished car repairs and bought a new camera so I'll be free soon to get some pictures of some of the guns I've bought over the last year and post soon, so more to come from me soon as I've promised.
I also talked to a few dealers at my last local gun show and I'm planning to start spending some time at their tables and selling some of my extra's and picking up on some of the guns offered by the public if the price is right?
